Cuban Ozone Research Center

The Ozone Research Center (Centro de Investigaciones del Ozono) is a specialized Cuban institution dedicated to the medical and industrial applications of ozone. Established in 1994 as part of the National Center for Scientific Research (CNIC), it focuses on developing ozone-based therapies and products, most notably the ozonated sunflower oil known as Oleozon. The center conducts clinical trials, manufactures medical ozone generators, and produces pharmaceutical-grade ozonated oils for treating parasitic, fungal, and inflammatory conditions. It operates under the BioCubaFarma umbrella, contributing to Cuba's national healthcare system and international biotechnology exports.
