Company intelligence / Profile preview
Cue Health developed a portable molecular diagnostic system that enabled at-home or point-of-care testing for infectious diseases such as COVID‑19—the first FDA-authorized molecular test for home use without prescription. The company expanded its menu to include tests for influenza, mpox, sexual health panels, cardiac risk markers, metabolic panels, vitamin D deficiency, food sensitivity/allergy screening and more. It also launched a pharmacy offering with telehealth integration. Despite initial commercial success—especially during the pandemic—Cue faced severe financial distress post-pandemic due to declining demand for COVID testing. In May–June of 2024 it ceased operations and filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
