Overview
CuraGen Corporation was a genomics-driven biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering and developing novel protein, antibody, ADCs, and small molecule therapeutics primarily for oncology. It developed several clinical-stage assets including velafermin, belinostat, and CR011-vcMMAE. The company also established the pioneering next-generation sequencing firm "454 Life Sciences," later sold to Roche. In 2007 CuraGen itself was acquired by Celgene Corporation. At its peak it had a deep pipeline but no approved products at the time of acquisition.
