Curna was a biotechnology company dedicated to the development of a novel class of therapeutic agents known as AntagoNATs. These synthetic antisense oligonucleotides are designed to target natural antisense transcripts (NATs) to specifically upregulate the expression of beneficial proteins. By interfering with the regulatory mechanisms that normally silence gene expression, Curna's technology offered a unique approach to treating diseases where protein deficiency or downregulation is a key factor.
