The Central Veterinary Research Laboratory (CVRL) is a world-renowned diagnostic and research facility based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, specializing in veterinary medicine and animal health. Under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, CVRL provides comprehensive diagnostic services and conducts cutting-edge research on diseases affecting camels, falcons, horses, and other desert-dwelling species. The laboratory is a global leader in the development and production of veterinary vaccines, including the first effective vaccine against camelpox. CVRL also serves as a reference laboratory for the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) for several equine and camelid diseases, playing a critical role in international biosafety and zoonotic disease monitoring.
