CYGNOS BioTech is a South Florida-based biotechnology company founded in 2023 as an outgrowth of Nuovo Biologics. The company operates under a "One Health" paradigm, developing biologic therapeutics that address both animal and human health needs, with an initial focus on the veterinary sector to leverage translational data for human drug development. Their lead programs include PVX, a broad-spectrum antiviral peptide derived from cobra venom toxin, and MMX, an antitumor formulation for canine malignant melanoma which has received FDA Minor Use designation. In addition to its internal pipeline, CYGNOS provides contract research organization (CRO) services specializing in biologics R&D, regulatory support, and veterinary clinical trials.
