Cytoengine Co., Ltd. is a Taiwanese biotechnology company founded in 2022 as a joint venture between Lumosa Therapeutics and Center Laboratories. The company focuses on developing revolutionary therapies for central nervous system disorders, particularly stroke and neurodegenerative diseases, using its proprietary induced exosome technology platform. Cytoengine's platform includes a patented method licensed from the National Health Research Institutes (NHRI) that utilizes prostaglandin E receptor 4 (EP4) antagonists to induce stem cells to produce high-yield, engineered exosomes. Additionally, the company has collaborated with Shine-On Biomedical to integrate gene-engineered mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosome technologies to enhance targeted delivery and therapeutic efficacy.
