The company's flagship product, the ThinPrep Pap Test, transformed cervical cancer screening by utilizing liquid-based cytology to provide clearer samples for analysis. Cytyc expanded its clinical reach through the acquisition of the NovaSure system for treating heavy menstrual bleeding and the MammoSite system for targeted breast cancer radiation.
