Cyvex Nutrition was a leading provider of proprietary, condition-specific nutraceutical ingredients for the dietary supplement and functional food industries. Founded in 1984 and headquartered in Irvine, California, the company specialized in antioxidant-rich extracts derived from fruits, vegetables, and botanicals. Their portfolio included well-known brands such as BioVin grape seed extract and BerryVin high-ORAC berry blend. In 2010, Cyvex was acquired by Omega Protein Corporation to bolster its human nutrition segment. The company was eventually integrated into the Nutegrity brand, which consolidated Omega Protein's specialty ingredient acquisitions.
