Daiichi Fine Chemical

Daiichi Fine Chemical was a prominent Japanese manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), pharmaceutical intermediates, and vitamins. Founded in 1943 and formerly a subsidiary of Daiichi Sankyo, the company established a strong reputation for its expertise in organic synthesis and GMP-compliant manufacturing. In 2010, it was acquired by Nissan Chemical Industries (now Nissan Chemical Corporation) to bolster their life sciences division, and it was eventually merged into the parent company in 2015. The company was particularly well-known for its production of Vitamin B6 and D-panthenol. Today, its legacy continues through Nissan Chemical's fine chemicals business, providing high-quality chemical components to the global healthcare industry. Its primary manufacturing site remains located in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture, Japan.
