Kyowa Pharma Chemical, formerly known as Daiichi Fine Chemical, is a specialized Japanese contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) that produces active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and intermediates. The company is recognized for its expertise in complex organic synthesis, including chiral technology and high-pressure hydrogenation, and is a leading global supplier of Vitamin B6 and Pantothenic acid derivatives. Originally established as a subsidiary of Daiichi Pharmaceutical, it became part of the Kyowa Kirin Group in 2010 before being acquired by the private equity firm Advent International in 2024. Operating primarily out of its facilities in Takaoka, Japan, the company serves a global client base by providing high-quality manufacturing solutions from clinical development through commercial supply.
