Company intelligence / Profile preview
Dairytown Products Ltd. was a prominent Canadian dairy processing cooperative based in Sussex, New Brunswick, a region historically recognized as the dairy capital of Atlantic Canada. The company specialized in the production of high-quality butter and skim milk powder, serving both the retail consumer market and industrial food manufacturers across North America. Founded in 1984 through the consolidation of local dairy cooperatives, it became a cornerstone of the regional agricultural economy. In 2014, Dairytown was acquired by Agropur Cooperative, one of the largest dairy processors in North America, which integrated the Sussex operations into its global supply chain. While the company operated within the food science domain, it was not a biotechnology or pharmaceutical firm and did not maintain a therapeutic drug pipeline.
