Dalgety Animal Health was a prominent veterinary pharmaceutical company and a subsidiary of the British conglomerate Dalgety PLC. The company specialized in providing health solutions for the livestock industry, with a particular focus on vaccines and parasiticides for sheep, cattle, and pigs. Its product portfolio was widely utilized in major agricultural markets, including the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. In 1998, Dalgety PLC divested the animal health division to Schering-Plough for approximately £28 million to refocus on its core agribusiness and genetic improvement operations. Following subsequent industry consolidations, the business is now part of MSD Animal Health.
