Company intelligence / Profile preview
Dalian Jingang-Andi Bio-Products was a Chinese biopharmaceutical company that specialized in the development and commercialization of human vaccines, primarily targeting rabies and mumps. Based in Dalian, China, the company operated as the principal manufacturing subsidiary of China Bio-Immunity Corporation and held a significant portion of the domestic rabies vaccine market. In 2009, the company became the center of a major public health scandal after regulatory inspections revealed the illegal use of an unapproved nucleic acid adjuvant in its rabies vaccines to artificially boost potency. As a result, the Chinese State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) revoked the company's production permits and imposed substantial fines, leading to the cessation of its operations and subsequent liquidation.
