Dallas Diabetes Research Center

Dallas Diabetes Research Center was a Dallas, Texas-based endocrinology-focused clinical research site founded in 1990 by Julio Rosenstock, MD. The organization specialized in conducting industry-sponsored clinical trials in diabetes, obesity, and related metabolic diseases, and became well known as a high-enrolling U.S. site for cardiometabolic studies. It operated from the Medical City Dallas campus and appears to have functioned primarily as a private clinical trial site rather than a therapeutic product developer. In 2022, the site was acquired by Velocity Clinical Research and now operates as Velocity Clinical Research, Dallas. As a result, the legacy entity is best understood as an acquired clinical research organization/site rather than an independent biotech or pharma company with its own proprietary pipeline.
