Dallas Lighthouse for the Blind

Dallas Lighthouse for the Blind, now operating as Envision Dallas, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing employment, training, and rehabilitation services for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. Founded in 1931, the organization operates as a significant manufacturing hub, producing a variety of goods including textiles and office supplies through the federal AbilityOne Program. Beyond manufacturing, it offers comprehensive vision rehabilitation services, including low-vision clinics, orientation and mobility training, and assistive technology instruction. The organization merged with Envision in 2020, expanding its capacity to serve the visually impaired community in North Texas through integrated healthcare and vocational support.
