Danaher Motion

Danaher Motion was a global leader in motion control technology and a former strategic platform of Danaher Corporation. The company provided a comprehensive portfolio of products, including motors, drives, and actuators, which were essential for precision movement in various high-tech applications. Within the healthcare and life sciences sectors, Danaher Motion's technologies were critical components in medical imaging systems, surgical robotics, and high-throughput laboratory automation equipment. The division operated through several market-leading brands such as Kollmorgen, Thomson, and Portescap. In 2016, as part of Danaher's strategic pivot toward life sciences and diagnostics, the majority of the Danaher Motion businesses were spun off into the independent public company Fortive Corporation. Other segments of the motion portfolio were subsequently acquired by Altra Industrial Motion, which is now part of Regal Rexnord.
