Company intelligence / Profile preview
DataLabs, Inc. was a leading developer of electronic data capture (EDC) and clinical data management software designed to streamline the clinical trial process for the biopharmaceutical industry. Founded in 1999, the company's flagship platform, DataLabsXC, was notable for its ability to unify paper-based and electronic data capture into a single, web-based system, offering significant flexibility for clinical trial sponsors and CROs. The company was acquired by ClinPhone in 2006 for approximately $68 million, and subsequently became a core component of PAREXEL's Perceptive Informatics eClinical suite following PAREXEL's acquisition of ClinPhone in 2008. Today, the DataLabs technology remains a widely used EDC solution within the portfolios of major clinical research organizations, including PAREXEL and ICON.
