Davisco Foods International was a global leader in the production of high-purity whey protein isolates and specialized dairy ingredients. The company was a pioneer in the use of ion-exchange technology for protein separation, which allowed for the commercialization of highly purified proteins such as alpha-lactalbumin and their flagship product, BiPRO. These ingredients are widely utilized in clinical nutrition, sports supplements, and infant formulas to support muscle health and metabolic needs. In 2014, the company was acquired by Agropur, a major Canadian dairy cooperative, which integrated Davisco's operations into its global ingredients business.
