Company intelligence / Profile preview
Day Zero Diagnostics developed a proprietary rapid diagnostic system that uses direct-from-blood sample preparation, whole genome sequencing, and advanced machine learning analytics to identify bacterial species and their antibiotic resistance profiles within hours. This approach aims to enable precision medicine for severe infections such as sepsis by providing actionable results much faster than traditional culture-based methods. The technology was in the development phase at the time of its acquisition by bioMérieux in June 2025. No clinical trial results have been published; the product had not reached commercial launch as of acquisition.
