DayTwo developed a precision nutrition solution using full shotgun metagenomic sequencing of the gut microbiome combined with AI to predict individual blood sugar responses to foods. Their approach enabled personalized dietary recommendations that led to significant improvements in A1C, weight loss, BMI reduction, and reduced medication use among people with metabolic diseases such as type 2 diabetes and obesity. The company also launched EATS™, a behavioral science protocol addressing emotional barriers in chronic disease management. Clinical outcomes included an average sustained weight loss of ~19 lbs after one year and a mean BMI drop of over three points; more than half of participants reduced or eliminated prescription medications.
