Overview

Dcoop is Spain’s largest food cooperative and the world’s largest olive oil producer, representing 75,000 farmers and agro-industrial members. Its primary focus is on agricultural production—especially olive oil—and related food products. While not a biotech or healthcare company itself, in 2023 it formed a 50-50 joint venture called Naturphenolive with Biopharma Research/Econatur Group to valorize olive by-products into value-added products for agriculture, animal feed, and human foodstuffs using biotechnology and green chemistry[1][2]. The group had revenues of approximately €900 million as of 2017[3].
