Deca-Medics was a medical technology company focused on the development of automated resuscitation equipment for emergency medicine. The company is best known for its flagship product, the Life-Stat Mechanical CPR device, which was designed to provide continuous, standardized chest compressions and synchronized ventilation during cardiac arrest. This "thumper" style device was engineered to eliminate the inconsistencies and fatigue associated with manual CPR, ensuring high-quality resuscitation efforts in both pre-hospital and hospital settings. By automating the life-support process, Deca-Medics sought to improve patient outcomes and survival rates in critical care scenarios. The company's assets and the Life-Stat product line were eventually acquired by Michigan Instruments, which continues to support the technology.
