Deerac Fluidics was a life science instrumentation company specializing in high-precision, nanoliter-scale liquid handling systems. Founded as a spin-out from Trinity College Dublin, the company developed the Equator and Latitude series of automated dispensers, which utilized proprietary valve-based technology for low-volume dispensing. These systems were widely used in genomics, proteomics, and high-throughput screening to reduce reagent costs and improve assay performance. In 2008, the company was acquired by Labcyte, integrating its technology into a broader portfolio of acoustic and non-contact liquid handling solutions. The technology remains a significant component of laboratory automation workflows for drug discovery and genomic research.
