Company intelligence / Profile preview
DeKalb Medical was a non-profit healthcare provider based in Decatur, Georgia, that operated three hospital campuses and multiple physician practices. Established in 1961, the system offered comprehensive medical services including surgical care, diagnostic imaging, and specialized centers for cancer and heart health. The organization served the residents of DeKalb County and the greater Atlanta area for over five decades. In September 2018, the organization was acquired by and integrated into Emory Healthcare, the largest health system in Georgia. Following the acquisition, its primary facilities were renamed to Emory Decatur Hospital, Emory Hillandale Hospital, and Emory Long-Term Acute Care. This strategic merger allowed the facilities to benefit from Emory's academic resources and expanded clinical network.
