Del Laboratories was a prominent American manufacturer and marketer of cosmetics and over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceutical products. The company was widely recognized for its market-leading brands, including Sally Hansen in the nail care category and Orajel for oral pain relief. Founded in 1961, it operated as a public entity for several decades before being taken private by Kelso & Company in 2004. In 2007, the company was acquired by Coty Inc. for approximately $800 million, marking a significant consolidation in the beauty and personal care industry. Following the acquisition, the pharmaceutical division was divested to Church & Dwight, while the beauty assets were integrated into Coty's global portfolio.
