Delagrange

Laboratoires Delagrange was a prominent French pharmaceutical company specializing in the development of small molecule therapeutics for gastroenterology and neuropsychiatry. The company is most notably recognized for the discovery and commercialization of metoclopramide (Primpéran), a widely used antiemetic and prokinetic agent. Additionally, Delagrange developed significant antipsychotic and substituted benzamide medications such as sulpiride and tiapride. In 1991, the company was acquired by Synthélabo, which subsequently merged to become part of the global pharmaceutical leader Sanofi. The legacy of Delagrange continues through its portfolio of essential medicines that remain in use worldwide.
