Delalande

Delalande was a prominent French pharmaceutical company founded in 1924 by Michel Delalande. Headquartered in Courbevoie, the firm specialized in the development of small molecule therapeutics for cardiovascular, neurological, and gastrointestinal disorders. The company is historically recognized for bringing several important drugs to market, including the dopamine antagonist tiapride and the alpha-blocker indoramin. Throughout the mid-20th century, it established a significant presence in the European market through various international subsidiaries. In 1991, Delalande was acquired by Synthelabo, the pharmaceutical division of L'Oréal, and eventually became a legacy component of the modern Sanofi organization.
