Delaware Valley Stroke Council

The Delaware Valley Stroke Council (DVSC) was a Philadelphia-based non-profit organization dedicated to stroke awareness, prevention, and treatment. It served the Greater Philadelphia region by providing public education, professional medical training, and community-based stroke screenings. The council was well-known for its advocacy work, including the promotion of Stroke Awareness Month and the Dine Out for Stroke annual fundraiser. It also played a role in helping regional hospitals achieve stroke center designations and improving emergency response protocols.
