Delta Lloyd was a prominent Dutch financial services provider that operated extensively in the insurance and pension sectors. Within the healthcare industry, the company was a major health insurer in the Netherlands, offering a variety of health insurance products and services through its subsidiary, Delta Lloyd Zorgverzekering. Additionally, the group managed specialized investment funds, such as the Delta Lloyd L Health Care Fund, which focused on global pharmaceutical and biotechnology equities. In 2017, Delta Lloyd was acquired by NN Group (Nationale-Nederlanden) for approximately €2.3 billion, leading to the integration of its healthcare portfolio into NN's operations. The brand has since been retired as part of the consolidation within the Dutch insurance market.
