DemeRx IB

DemeRx IB is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing ibogaine-based therapies for the treatment of opioid use disorder (OUD) and opioid withdrawal syndrome. Originally established as a joint venture between DemeRx, Inc. and atai Life Sciences, the company became a wholly-owned subsidiary of atai Life Sciences (now AtaiBeckley) in November 2023. Its lead program, DMX-1002, is an oral formulation of ibogaine HCl that has completed Phase 1 clinical evaluation, demonstrating safety and tolerability alongside expected psychedelic experiences. Additionally, the company's pipeline includes IBX-210, a novel intravenous formulation of semi-synthetic ibogaine designed to improve safety, reduce pharmacokinetic variability, and optimize the patient experience.
