Dermacyte was a biotechnology company and subsidiary of Oxygen Biotherapeutics (now Tenax Therapeutics) that focused on oxygen-rich skin care and wound healing products. The company utilized a proprietary perfluorocarbon (PFC) technology platform to deliver therapeutic oxygen directly to the skin to promote cellular repair and reduce signs of aging. Its product portfolio included the Dermacyte Oxygen Concentrate for cosmetic use and clinical-grade gels intended for wound recovery and burn treatment. Although the company successfully commercialized its cosmetic line, its parent company eventually shifted its strategic focus toward critical care pharmaceuticals, leading to the discontinuation of the Dermacyte brand.
