Deutsche BKK

Deutsche BKK was a prominent German statutory health insurance provider (Betriebskrankenkasse) that primarily served employees of major corporations including Volkswagen, Deutsche Post, and Deutsche Telekom. Formed through a series of mergers in the early 2000s, it grew to become one of the largest company-linked health insurers in Germany, headquartered in Wolfsburg. In January 2017, the organization merged with Barmer GEK to form Barmer, which remains one of Germany's largest health insurance funds. The company focused on providing comprehensive health coverage, preventive care programs, and administrative health services to its members within the German social security system.
