Deutsche BKK was a prominent German statutory health insurance provider (Betriebskrankenkasse) that primarily served employees of major corporations including Volkswagen, Deutsche Post, and Deutsche Telekom. Formed through a series of mergers in the early 2000s, it grew to become one of the largest company-linked health insurers in Germany, headquartered in Wolfsburg. In January 2017, the organization merged with Barmer GEK to form Barmer, which remains one of Germany's largest health insurance funds.
