Developing Patient Partnerships

Developing Patient Partnerships (DPP) was a UK-based health education charity originally established by the British Medical Association (BMA) in 1997 as the Doctor Patient Partnership. The organization's primary mission was to improve the quality of health information available to the public and to foster better communication between patients and healthcare providers. DPP developed numerous public health campaigns and educational resources covering a wide range of medical topics to support patient self-management and informed decision-making within the National Health Service (NHS). The charity officially ceased its operations in 2010 following a withdrawal of core funding and was formally dissolved in 2011.
