The U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) is the United States' development finance institution, established in 2019 to partner with the private sector in addressing critical global challenges. In the life sciences and healthcare sectors, DFC provides essential financing, including debt, equity, and political risk insurance, to strengthen health systems and expand access to medical products in emerging markets.
