Development for Preparedness

The Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) is an innovative global partnership between public, private, philanthropic, and civil organizations launched in 2017 to develop vaccines against future epidemics. CEPI focuses on accelerating the development of vaccines and other biologic countermeasures against epidemic and pandemic threats, including 'Disease X'. The organization provides funding and strategic coordination to biotech and pharma partners to ensure equitable access to vaccines during health crises. Its primary goal is to compress vaccine development timelines to 100 days to effectively contain outbreaks before they become global pandemics.
