Medicines Development for Global Health (MDGH) is a non-profit biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing and delivering affordable medicines for neglected diseases that disproportionately affect people in low- and middle-income countries. The company achieved a historic milestone in 2018 when it received FDA approval for moxidectin for the treatment of river blindness (onchocerciasis), making it the first non-profit to ever receive a solo FDA approval for a new molecular entity. MDGH operates using a social enterprise model, reinvesting any revenue from its products back into its mission to address global health inequities.
