Diabetes Medical Development Corporation, also known as DiabMed, was a healthcare entity primarily known for its involvement in the commercialization and implementation of Metabolic Activation Therapy (MAT). Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, the company sought to establish treatment centers and market specialized protocols developed for the management of diabetes. However, the company became embroiled in significant legal disputes during the mid-2000s regarding the intellectual property and licensing rights to MAT, which was originally developed by Dr. Thomas T.
