Company intelligence / Profile preview
Diagenics is a biotechnology company that specialized in the development and commercialization of rapid diagnostic tests for cardiovascular and obstetric applications. The company's primary focus was the DIA-ST test, a point-of-care diagnostic designed for the ultra-early detection of Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) by identifying ischemia-specific biomarkers before the onset of cardiac necrosis. In addition to its cardiology portfolio, Diagenics worked on diagnostic solutions for the early identification of preeclampsia in pregnant women. Headquartered in Germany with operations in the United States, the company sought to revolutionize emergency medicine through faster triage. However, Diagenics SE faced significant financial challenges and entered insolvency proceedings in 2015, leading to its delisted status from the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
