Diagnostic Products Corporation (DPC) was a global leader in the development and manufacture of automated immunodiagnostic systems and reagents. Founded in 1971, the company specialized in in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) testing, providing a vast menu of assays for conditions ranging from thyroid disorders and allergies to oncology and infectious diseases. Its flagship IMMULITE platform became a gold standard for automated immunoassay testing in clinical laboratories worldwide. In 2006, DPC was acquired by Siemens for approximately $1.86 billion, serving as a foundational acquisition for the creation of Siemens Healthineers' diagnostics division. The company's legacy technologies continue to underpin a significant portion of the modern Siemens immunoassay portfolio.
