DiaMex

DiaMex is a German in vitro diagnostics company focused on manufacturer-independent, third-party quality controls for clinical laboratories and blood banks. The company is best known for its Optitrol portfolio of serology and molecular (NAT) controls used in infectious disease testing, blood screening, and related laboratory quality assurance workflows. DiaMex has marketed serology controls for more than a decade and expanded into NAT controls in 2020. The business emphasizes high-consistency control materials, regulatory support, and cloud-based QC monitoring through the EDCNet/QConnect informatics offering. DiaMex became part of LGC in December 2024 and continues to operate as an acquired diagnostics business within LGC's broader clinical diagnostics and genomics portfolio.
