Diamond Foods was a prominent American packaged food company specializing in premium snack brands and culinary nuts. The company's portfolio featured iconic brands such as Kettle Brand potato chips, Emerald snack nuts, Pop Secret popcorn, and Diamond of California culinary nuts. Originally established in 1912 as a member-owned cooperative of walnut growers, the company transitioned to a public corporation in 2005 and expanded significantly through strategic acquisitions. In 2016, Diamond Foods was acquired by Snyder's-Lance for approximately $1.9 billion, and subsequently became part of the Campbell Soup Company in 2018. Today, its former snack brands are integrated into Campbell's snacks division, while the culinary nut business operates independently under private equity ownership.
