Dimension Therapeutics was a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing novel gene therapies for rare diseases caused by genetic liver defects. The company utilized a proprietary adeno-associated virus (AAV) platform, specifically leveraging AAV8 and AAVrh10 vectors, to deliver functional genes to the liver. Its lead programs targeted high-unmet-need conditions such as Hemophilia B, Hemophilia A, and metabolic disorders like ornithine transcarbamylase (OTC) deficiency. Dimension was founded through a collaboration between REGENXBIO and Fidelity Biosciences and was eventually acquired by REGENXBIO in 2017 to consolidate their gene therapy portfolios.
