DISA Vascular

DISA Vascular (now operating as DISA Medinotec) is a South African medical device company specializing in the design, development, and manufacture of vascular and airway management technologies. Founded in 1998, the company was a pioneer in the African medical device industry, producing the first CE-marked coronary stents in the region, including the SolarFlex and Chromis cobalt-chromium systems. Following its acquisition by the US-based holding company Medinotec Inc. in 2022, the company has expanded its focus to include the Trachealator, a proprietary non-occlusive airway dilation balloon, and various ENT and surgical devices. DISA Vascular operates ISO-certified manufacturing facilities in South Africa and serves international markets through a global distribution network and its affiliate, DISA Life Sciences. The company is currently focused on expanding its presence in the United States and European markets with its niche interventional products.
