Company intelligence / Profile preview
DNAPrint Genomics was a biotechnology company specializing in genomics-based products for consumer ancestry, forensics, and personalized medicine. The company was best known for its "AncestryByDNA" test, which was one of the first commercially available autosomal DNA tests for estimating biogeographical ancestry. Beyond consumer diagnostics, DNAPrint developed a pipeline of pharmacogenomic-driven therapeutics, including PT-401 for the treatment of anemia. The company utilized its proprietary Genomic Modeling System (GMS) to identify genetic markers associated with drug response and complex traits. DNAPrint Genomics ceased operations and underwent liquidation in the late 2000s.
