Dogwood Health Trust is a private, non-profit foundation based in Asheville, North Carolina, dedicated to improving the health and well-being of residents in the 18 counties of Western North Carolina. Established in 2019, the trust was created following the $1.5 billion sale of the non-profit Mission Health System to HCA Healthcare. It operates as a health conversion foundation, utilizing its significant endowment to address the social determinants of health through strategic grantmaking and impact investing. The organization focuses its efforts on four primary strategic pillars: Housing, Education, Economic Opportunity, and Health & Wellness.
