Domicell

Domicell is a private Johns Hopkins spinout developing implantable bioreactor-based cell therapy devices for cardiovascular disease. Its lead technology, the Stem Cell Implantable Bioreactor (SCIB), is designed to house therapeutic cells in a protected semi-permeable chamber that enables sustained release of beneficial growth factors, cytokines, exosomes, and other paracrine factors while shielding the cells from immune attack and washout. The company is initially focused on preventing heart failure after myocardial infarction, but describes the platform as adaptable to additional cardiac and non-cardiac uses. Domicell appears to remain at a seed/private stage, with historical plans for first-in-human work but no clear evidence of active clinical trials or commercialization.
