DoseBiome was a Toronto-based biotechnology company specializing in oral microbiome research and consumer health products. Founded in 2016 and incubated at JLABS @ Toronto, the company's flagship product was "qii," a functional tea beverage formulated to maintain a neutral oral pH and reduce dental plaque. The drink utilized a proprietary xylitol-based composition called XyVita to selectively inhibit harmful bacteria like Streptococcus mutans while supporting a healthy microbial balance. Although the company successfully commercialized its products in North America and received backing from major investors like Horizons Ventures, it has since ceased operations and is currently classified as inactive.
