Company intelligence / Profile preview
Dow Haltermann was a leading contract manufacturing organization (CMO) that provided custom chemical synthesis and distillation services to the pharmaceutical, agrochemical, and specialty chemical sectors. The entity was established following Dow Chemical's 2001 acquisition of Ascot Plc, which integrated the historic Haltermann brand into Dow's portfolio. The company specialized in the production of high-purity solvents, pharmaceutical intermediates, and active ingredients under cGMP conditions. In 2011, Dow divested the Dow Haltermann Custom Processing business to H.I.G. Capital, leading to its eventual integration into the HCS Group. Today, the legacy of the business continues under the Haltermann Carless brand.
