Dr. Andrew Thamboo

Dr. Andrew Thamboo is a prominent Canadian rhinologist, skull base surgeon, and translational researcher based in Vancouver, British Columbia. He serves as the Research Director of the St. Paul's Sinus Centre and is a Principal Investigator at the Centre for Heart Lung Innovation (HLI). His research focuses on the "unified airway hypothesis," upper airway physiology, and personalized medicine for chronic sinus disease and sinonasal tumors. Dr. Thamboo is a key innovator behind SinuStim, a medical device designed to alleviate nasal congestion through electrical nerve stimulation. Additionally, he leads clinical trials investigating the immunologic impact of biologics, such as dupilumab, in patients with asthma and chronic rhinosinusitis.
